Community Support Worker

Geneva Healthcare's Community Living service supports adults with physical and intellectual disabilities in home environments across New Zealand.

We are looking for Full time, Part time and Casual Support Workers to help the people we support in our Rotorua residential services. This is a 24/7 roster Monday to Sunday which includes working overnight and alternate weekends. This will suit people who are looking for flexibility and more regular longer shifts in one place

 

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you can be part of our team to enable people with a disability to live a life of choice, freedom and independence. Support workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 cover with responsibilities including aiding with personal care, community outings and integration, and other aspects of daily living - enabling our people to be as independent as possible.

What are we looking for?

  • A desire to support our people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes

  • Prior experience supporting others with aspects of daily living, preferably those living with intellectual or physical disabilities

  • Full driver's license and confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training provided)

  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends
